“Children, how time flies!”, is a phrase I have already used here. And what can I say? I was right! The summer is long gone, the days are growing short again and the polished summer cars are being driven back into their garages. I have to admit, in the last few weeks I’ve barely laid my fingers on the keyboard. However, that should be about to change. Even my Ascona, after finally getting the necessary approval, is being used less and less. Especially as the lack of heating and ventilation is starting to make itself apparent.
Victor Reinz seals for cih & 24V engines
In the meantime, we haven’t (only) been lazing about, in fact we have busied ourselves with accumulating a whole sack full of new articles. I have surreptitiously added a few bits and pieces online, with the rest to follow.
Most notably, seals from the premium manufacturer Victor Reinz for both cih & 24V engines have found their way into the shop . Although at the moment the range of products can be quickly browsed through, it won’t stay that way, as we have more products in the pipeline! And the best part in all this: almost all the seals have become cheaper, which means that we are able to optimise your shopping experience. – Another new item to hit the shelves is the installation kit for the water cooler in Manta / Ascona A & B, Kadett C & Co.
Angle drive for the speedometer, normal & short, finally ready for delivery!
The angle drives for the speedometer are back again! Throughout the whole summer these small, yet important, parts were not consistently available, as we had problems with the quality coming from our previous manufacturer. After much toing & froing, we have finally found a new manufacturer and the parts we have received are a dream come true 🙂 In the next few days the angle drives will find their way into the shop, from where they will particularly be able to make those of you with a Kadett C in the short variety happy again.
Its veeeeeerrry important
to make clear at this point that our telephone and email support services will be somewhat restricted between the 07.10 and the 10.10; I will be away at a software course and my wife will be solely responsible for deliveries (with her helpers) during this time. So just in case a delivery takes a day longer than usual, or something else goes wrong, never fear, we will make sure to fix things up again! But the my ‘Mrs edelschmiede’ really has become ‘one of us’ – its amazing to watch as she juggles shaft seal rings & co.

To conclude I have one last titbit: As mentioned ages ago, in the near future we will have a second tool special so that our OHV-engine drivers won’t be short-changed!
